VOLUME AND SKIN QUALITY, WITHOUT SURGERY
Biostimulators and Body Fillers In Dubai
A non surgical approach to cellulite, mild volume loss and skin quality
If you are unhappy with the way your buttocks look but do not want surgery, it is easy to think that you simply need filler. But a hip dip, cellulite, a hollow, thinning skin and loose skin are not the same problem. They should not be treated in the same way.
My first job is to work out what is actually causing the concern. Only then can I tell you whether a biostimulator, a temporary body filler, cellulite subcision, surgery, or sometimes no treatment at all, makes sense for you.
What am I looking for in your consultation
I look at the buttocks and thighs while you are standing, moving and relaxing the muscles. I am trying to understand what you are seeing in the mirror, not just where you would like more volume.
| What you may notice | What may be causing it | The conversation we may have |
|---|---|---|
| A few dimples that pull inwards | Cellulite bands under the skin | Releasing those bands with Avéli or needle subcision before we consider any volume treatment. |
| A hollow, hip dip or small uneven area | A genuine loss of soft tissue volume or support | A conservative temporary filler or a gradual biostimulator plan. |
| Skin that looks thin, crepey or a little empty | Reduced collagen support in the skin | A collagen stimulating treatment such as Sculptra, Lanluma or hyperdiluted Radiesse. |
| Skin that is clearly loose, folded or hanging | Excess skin, often after major weight loss | A buttock lift or lower body lift. Injectables cannot remove excess skin. |
If cellulite is part of the problem
A cellulite dimple is often being pulled down by a tight band underneath the skin. Putting filler into the area without dealing with that pull first can leave the dimple looking unchanged or make the area look overfilled.
When I can feel that a band is pulling the skin down, I usually release the band first. Depending on the number of dimples and the area we are treating, this may be Avéli, needle subcision in clinic, or subcision done as part of a larger body-contouring operation.
After the area has settled, I reassess it. Some patients do not need anything more. Others have a small hollow or thin skin around the treated area, and that is where a biostimulator or temporary filler may help.
What is a biostimulator
A biostimulator is an injectable treatment that encourages your body to produce more collagen gradually. It is not designed to give you a large, immediate change in buttock size.
This can be useful when the tissue needs better quality and gentle support: for example, skin that feels thin, a shallow hollow, early laxity, or an area that looks a little empty after weight loss. The change builds slowly over weeks and months.
A hyaluronic acid body filler is different. It gives more immediate, visible volume. One is not better than the other; they solve different problems.
The options I may discuss with you
Sculptra and Lanluma
Sculptra and Lanluma are collagen stimulators made from poly L lactic acid. They are useful when I want a gradual change in tissue quality and mild volume, rather than a suddenly filled look. For body treatments, I use the body focused Lanluma X when it is appropriate.
They can be a good choice for someone who wants a subtle, progressive change. They are not a non surgical BBL, and I would not recommend them if your real goal is a large increase in buttock volume.
Hyperdiluted Radiesse
For larger areas of thin or crepey skin, I may use Radiesse in a more diluted form. The aim is to improve the look and feel of the skin over time, not to build a large amount of volume. I commonly discuss it for the buttocks, thighs, arms and abdomen when mild laxity is the main concern.
Temporary hyaluronic acid body filler
A temporary body filler such as HYAcorp can give a more direct correction when there is a small hip dip, shallow hollow, mild asymmetry or modest loss of volume. The result is visible sooner than with a biostimulator, but the plan still needs to be conservative.
In my practice, I place body filler in the fat layer under the skin. I never inject it into the gluteal muscle. The same safety principle applies here as it does in BBL surgery: stay in the correct plane and respect the anatomy.
What a treatment plan can look like
There is no single treatment that is right for every patient. A simple plan may be one treatment. A more complex concern may be staged so that we do not overfill an area before we have seen how it settles.
| Your main concern | A typical starting point | What may come next |
|---|---|---|
| A few true cellulite dimples | Release the bands with Avéli or needle subcision | Review once healed. Add volume only if a hollow is still visible. |
| Hip dips or a small loss of volume | Temporary body filler or a biostimulator, depending on the tissues and your goal | A review and further small correction only if needed. |
| Thin, crepey or mildly loose skin | Sculptra, Lanluma or hyperdiluted Radiesse | A series of treatments and time for collagen to develop. |
| Loose or hanging skin | Discuss a buttock lift or lower body lift | Injectables are not a substitute for removing excess skin. |
What the treatment and recovery are like
Most biostimulator and body-filler treatments are done in clinic. I mark the area while you are standing, take photographs for comparison and numb the entry points. The treatment itself is planned around the area and product being used, so the appointment length varies.
You can usually go home the same day. Mild swelling, tenderness and bruising are common and can last a few days. With buttock treatments, I will also tell you how to sit, exercise and massage the area, if massage is appropriate for the product used. You should avoid heavy training until I clear you to restart.
As with any injectable treatment, there can be swelling, bruising, lumps, unevenness, infection, inflammation or the need for correction. This is why I do not over-treat an area in one session.
When injectables are not enough
I am very clear about this in consultation. Injectables can improve selected concerns, but they cannot lift a buttock that has dropped significantly or remove excess skin after major weight loss.
If your skin is hanging, a buttock lift or lower body lift may be the more honest answer. If you want a bigger change in volume, a BBL may be more suitable. If the main issue is excess fat, we may discuss buttock liposuction instead. The right answer depends on the problem, not on which treatment is easiest to sell.
Permanent fillers are not part of my practice
I do not inject permanent fillers for buttock volume, hip dips or cellulite. This includes polyacrylamide gel, liquid silicone and PMMA containing products. They may seem like a long term shortcut, but the complications can also be long term and difficult to treat.
Patients may develop migration, lumps, unevenness, recurrent swelling, pain or repeated inflammation. Some women notice that inflammation flares around their menstrual cycle. Years after the original injections, the material may have spread through the fat and scar tissue, making the buttocks look swollen, irregular or distorted.
Why I ask for an MRI
If I suspect a permanent filler, MRI is the scan I rely on before we discuss treatment. It helps me see where the material is, how far it has spread and how it relates to the skin, fat, muscle and deeper tissues.
Ultrasound may show something close to the skin, but it does not map the whole problem well enough for a major removal operation. I do not plan permanent-filler removal from an ultrasound alone.
Why liposuction is rarely the answer
Permanent filler is not fat, and it usually cannot simply be suctioned out. In many cases, treatment involves open surgery: opening the affected area, removing as much material and unhealthy tissue as is safely possible, then reshaping the buttocks. Sometimes this is done through a buttock lift or another reconstructive body-contouring operation.
The aim is not to promise that every trace can be removed. The aim is to reduce the problem safely, improve the shape and avoid making the tissues worse.
Why Choose Dr. Hardik Ganatra
My practice is focused on body contouring, so I look at cellulite, skin quality and buttock shape together. I do not treat every concern with the same syringe or the same product.
- I look for the cause of the problem before recommending a treatment.
- If a cellulite band is causing the dimple, I release that pull before I add volume.
- I use temporary filler only in the subcutaneous plane, never in the gluteal muscle.
- I will tell you if a lift, BBL or no treatment is more sensible than an injectable.
- I do not use permanent fillers.

Frequently Asked Questions
Are biostimulators the same as fillers?
No. Biostimulators such as Sculptra, Lanluma and hyperdiluted Radiesse work gradually by encouraging collagen. Hyaluronic acid body filler gives more direct volume.
Can filler get rid of cellulite?
Filler does not release the band that causes a cellulite dimple. When a band is the problem, I usually release it first and then decide whether any volume support is needed.
Can Sculptra or Lanluma lift my buttocks?
They may improve skin quality and give mild gradual support. They do not replace a BBL or a buttock lift when you want a large change or have significant loose skin.
How many sessions will I need?
It depends on the product, the area and what we are trying to improve. Biostimulators often need a series. Temporary filler gives an earlier result, but I still plan it conservatively.
Is body filler injected into the muscle?
No. I place temporary body filler in the subcutaneous fat layer and never in the gluteal muscle.
I had injections years ago and now the area is swollen. What should I do?
You should be assessed properly. If I suspect a permanent filler, I usually arrange an MRI before discussing treatment. Ultrasound alone is not enough to plan removal.
Can permanent filler be removed with liposuction?
Usually not. It often needs direct open surgery, and sometimes a lift or reconstructive procedure is needed to remove what can safely be removed and reshape the area.
Can I combine cellulite subcision with a biostimulator or filler?
Sometimes, yes, but I do not automatically do everything at once. If the main issue is a band pulling the skin down, I usually release that first and review the area once it has settled. That tells me whether a second step will genuinely improve the result.
Can I exercise after treatment?
You will usually be able to walk and do normal daily activities soon after treatment. I will give you specific advice about gym training, sitting and massage based on the areas treated and the product used.
How long will the result last?
This depends on the product, the area treated and your own tissues. Biostimulators change the collagen support gradually and are not the same as a permanent implant. Temporary filler also changes over time. We discuss maintenance honestly before treatment.
Book a Consultation
If back rolls, bra rolls, upper back fat, lower back fullness, love handles or an undefined waistline are something you want to address, a consultation is the right first step. I'll assess the back alongside the waist, flanks, abdomen and skin quality, and recommend the right option — isolated back liposuction, VASER, J-Plasma, Lipo 360, revision, high-definition sculpting, or a back lift if loose skin is the main concern.
