GET RID OF BACK ROLLS AND BRA-LINE BULGES
Back Liposuction In Dubai For Back Rolls
Back fat removal, bra roll liposuction, waistline sculpting and back contouring.
Back fat is persistent. It makes the torso look wider and heavier even when the rest of the body is in decent shape — it shows through fitted clothes, sits above and below the bra strap, and softens the waistline from behind. It's also stubborn: it doesn't always shift with diet, exercise or weight loss, and some patients who've had abdomen liposuction are left with untreated back fullness that makes the result look incomplete from behind.
Back liposuction targets stubborn fat across the zones of the back — upper back, bra rolls, mid-back, lower back, love handles, waistline, and in selected patients the neck-hump area. I rarely think of the back as an isolated surface; I see it as part of the torso. A flat abdomen with untreated back rolls isn't a complete result. My goal isn't simply a smaller back — it's a cleaner, smoother, more proportionate torso.
What Is Back Liposuction?
Back liposuction removes stubborn fat from the different zones of the back. Small hidden incisions are used, fluid is infiltrated first to reduce bleeding and discomfort, VASER is applied in selected cases to soften the fat, and thin cannulas remove it carefully from under the skin. It may treat upper back fat, bra rolls, mid-back folds, lower back fat, love handles, waistline fullness, fat around the shoulder blades and trapezius, and a neck hump in selected patients. The goal isn't just to remove fat — it's to shape the back so the torso looks smoother, narrower and better balanced.
A back can look smaller. A well-sculpted back looks lighter.
The Zones of the Back — and Choosing the Right Approach
Not all back fat is the same, and each zone affects shape differently:
Trapezius & neck hump —
fullness at the upper back and base of the neck; a neck hump may respond to liposuction if it’s genuinely a fat pad, but posture, bone structure and medical causes are assessed first.
Upper back & shoulder blades —
makes the torso look wider in fitted tops.
Bra roll (mid-back) —
the fold at the bra-strap line; one of the most common reasons patients come in.
Lower back & love handles —
thickens the waistline from behind and reduces the natural athletic taper.
The bigger question is fat versus skin. If the roll is mainly fat with reasonable skin elasticity, VASER liposuction is usually a good option — back fat is often dense and fibrous, and VASER softens it before removal. For mild to moderate laxity, J-Plasma (Renuvion) can support skin contraction. But if there's significant loose skin — after major weight loss, bariatric surgery or repeated fluctuations — liposuction alone disappoints, and skin removal (a bra-roll lift, or an upper, mid or lower back lift) may be needed. Some patients want a smaller, lighter back; others want high-definition sculpting that reveals the back's natural muscle structure. Both are planned around your anatomy.
Technique matters more than technology. A machine can soften fat. It cannot plan a waistline.
Back Liposuction Cost, Duration & Hospital Stay
Cost depends on the areas treated, the technology used, and whether the back is done in isolation or as part of a wider torso plan. Starting-from prices in AED — your exact quote is confirmed at consultation:
| Procedure | Starting Price (AED) | Duration | Hospital Stay |
|---|---|---|---|
| VASER back liposuction | 25,000 | 1.5–2 hours | Day-case / 1 night |
| VASER + J-Plasma back liposuction | 30,000 | 2–3 hours | Usually 1 night |
When back liposuction is combined with Lipo 360 or full torso liposuction, pricing reflects the combined procedure and is confirmed during consultation.
Why Choose Dr. Hardik Ganatra For Back Liposuction?
I focus exclusively on body contouring and liposuction-based procedures — VASER liposuction, back liposuction, Lipo 360, high-definition liposuction, J-Plasma liposuction, revision liposuction and post-weight-loss body contouring.
Back liposuction isn't just about removing back fat — it's about understanding how the back contributes to the shape of the torso. The upper back affects width, the bra roll affects how clothing fits, the lower back affects the waist, the sacral triangle affects definition. My background in bodybuilding and fitness has helped me understand muscle lines, proportion and what a balanced torso looks like from every angle.
The goal is a back that looks smoother, lighter and naturally contoured. Not overdone. Not hollowed. Just better.
Are You A Good Candidate ?
You may be suitable if you have:
- Bra rolls or back rolls, upper back fat, or fat around the shoulder blades and trapezius
- Lower back fat or love handles
- Back fullness after a previous abdomen liposuction
- Back fat that doesn't respond to weight loss
- A desire for a smoother, narrower torso and better waistline definition from behind
You may also be a candidate if you're already having torso liposuction or Lipo 360 and need the back included. It works best when the main problem is fat — if the main problem is loose skin, liposuction alone is likely to disappoint. Not every back roll is a fat roll.
Before Your Surgery
The most important assessment at consultation is whether the roll is fat, loose skin, or both — and I pinch the area to feel what's actually there. The back is assessed alongside the waist, flanks, abdomen and any previous surgeries, as part of a three-dimensional torso rather than a flat surface. You're marked while standing, because back rolls, bra folds and waistline fullness look completely different lying flat. The back is planned before it's treated.
How Back Liposuction Is Performed?
Back liposuction follows a step-by-step approach; the specifics vary with the areas treated and whether the goal is general slimming or high-definition sculpting.
Fluid infiltration
A special fluid is infiltrated into the fat to soften the tissue and reduce bleeding — it contains lidocaine for pain control and adrenaline to limit bruising.
VASER emulsification
In many cases VASER softens dense or fibrous back fat before removal — particularly useful in the upper back, bra roll, lower back and revision cases.
Fat aspiration
Thin cannulas remove the fat. The aim isn’t to hollow the back or remove every gram — it’s smooth transitions and a better overall torso shape.
J-Plasma when needed
If mild to moderate skin laxity is present, J-Plasma may be used after fat removal to support skin contraction, based on skin quality and the plan.
Incisions & drainage
Incisions are placed discreetly — along the bra-strap line, in the midline over the spine, and just above the buttock crease. Some lower incisions may be left open briefly to drain in the first day or two; it can look messy but reduces swelling and pressure, and is part of the process, not a complication. Isolated back liposuction takes about 1.5–2 hours; as part of Lipo 360 or full torso, up to 3 hours, under general anaesthesia in a hospital.
Recovery & Aftercare
Recovery depends on the number of areas, the amount of fat removed, whether VASER or J-Plasma was used, and whether the back was combined with torso liposuction. Most patients feel soreness, stiffness, swelling and tightness; pain is usually highest between day 2 and day 4, and swelling can build for up to two weeks before it settles. A visible result shows around six weeks, with final results in 3–6 months.
- Compression garments for at least one month — up to two for larger, revision, high-definition or J-Plasma cases
- Lymphatic massage from day 2–3, at least 10 sessions on alternate days
- Foam support (triangle foam for the sacral area and lower back; waistline foam) to spread compression evenly and help the skin retract
- Walking early; gym around 2–3 weeks with clearance
As with any surgery, risks include swelling, bruising, numbness, seroma, fibrosis, skin irregularities, asymmetry, burns from energy devices, delayed healing and the possibility of revision — kept low by careful patient selection, controlled energy use, proper compression, lymphatic massage and close follow-up.

Frequently Asked Questions
Is back liposuction good for bra rolls?
If the roll is mostly fat, yes. I pinch the area at consultation to feel what’s actually under there. Fat with decent skin tone responds well; loose skin doesn’t — that needs a lift instead.
Can back liposuction make my waist smaller?
Yes — especially when the lower back, flanks and love handles are treated as one unit. Most patients are surprised how much the back shapes the waist. Treat the front and ignore the back, and the waist still won’t look right from behind.
Is back liposuction better alone or with Lipo 360?
It depends. Just bra rolls or a localized concern? Isolated treatment is fine. Abdomen, flanks, waist and back all involved? I’d rather treat the whole torso as one plan than chase isolated pockets.
Can it tighten loose skin — and how's that different from a back lift?
Liposuction takes out fat; a lift takes out skin. Mild looseness can be helped with J-Plasma, but real looseness after major weight loss needs a bra-roll, upper, mid or lower back lift. The whole job of the consultation is working out which one you have — often it’s both.
Is VASER useful for the back?
Genuinely, yes — back fat is often denser and more fibrous than the abdomen, and VASER softens it before removal. It’s still just a tool, though. The plan and the hands doing the work matter more than the machine.
Can back liposuction help after weight loss?
If what’s left is mostly fat, yes. After big weight loss — Ozempic, Mounjaro, bariatric surgery, whatever the route — the back usually has a mix of fat and loose skin. Sort out which one dominates and the plan writes itself.
When can I return to work and exercise?
A few days to a week for desk work if it’s isolated back liposuction; longer if combined with Lipo 360 or high-definition sculpting. Walking is encouraged early; gym work waits two to three weeks and only after a follow-up check.
When will I see results — and why might I still see a roll early on?
Six weeks gives a good early result; 3–6 months gives the real one. Early on, a lingering roll is usually swelling, fluid or garment pressure — not the final result. Still there after full healing? That’s worth a proper look — residual fat, or skin.
Book a Consultation
If back rolls, bra rolls, upper back fat, lower back fullness, love handles or an undefined waistline are something you want to address, a consultation is the right first step. I'll assess the back alongside the waist, flanks, abdomen and skin quality, and recommend the right option — isolated back liposuction, VASER, J-Plasma, Lipo 360, revision, high-definition sculpting, or a back lift if loose skin is the main concern.
